Surface treatment

Chemical deburring


The chemical deburring method is suitable for extremely small components, although the treatment period is long. Electrochemical deburring is preferred for relatively easy to manipulate components.


Electrolytic polishing


Electrolytic polishing is a process that uses electrochemical principle to clean and polish the surface of stainless steel and other metal materials. In the process of electrolytic polishing, the current passes through the electrolyte to slightly dissolve the metal surface material, so as to achieve a smooth and beautiful surface effect. In addition, the process is not limited to material removal and polishing, but can effectively eliminate local stress, chamfering, sharpening, burr removal, thermal effect zone and micro-crack treatment, thereby improving the fatigue life of the product.


Passivation treatment


After deburring and polishing,the components need to be passivated to improve the corrosion resistance of metal, stainless steel is no exception. Passivation can remove the iron embedded in the surface during processing and prevent the stainless steel from rusting. By immersion in a specific solution, a transparent oxide film is formed and the corrosion resistance is restored. In addition to electroplating, passivation is the best way to protect stainless steel.

Resistance micro-welding


Resistance micro-welding is a contact welding process characterized by rapid rise in current, short welding cycles and excellent welding strength. Resistance micro-welding has become the preferred method for joining various metals in the medical device industry.
